Kim taught several 8-week sessions at Delaware Art Museum that I attended and she was a great teacher. Kim created a positive environment to learn as she played music each session which was really relaxing. Kim is very patient and was always available to answer questions or to show me how something should be done. She is also very encouraging and had a lot of different ideas for projects. Kim is a very talented artist and was supportive of trying new things or techniques. I was so disappointed when she stopped teaching at Delaware Art Museum as she was the best teacher I ever had!

Kim is an amazing teacher, whether it’s wheel throwing or hand building, she is so patient and knowledgeable. She’s also an incredible artist herself! She was very hands-on when teaching technique from beginning to end on the wheel and taught in a way that was easy to comprehend and learn. She was always encouraging us to let the creativity flow and to not be so attached to one specific outcome. In pottery, you could start making one thing and end up with something entirely different.

Over the last two years I have had the opportunity to be instructed by Kim and to watch her teach her high school students. After I retired from a teaching career of 41 years, I decided to take up ceramics as a hobby. Kim’s knowledge of the ceramic process and her ability to teach it are unique. Hi-ya!

My name is Kim, and I am the owner and head instructor at BabyFace Studio. I am a nationally and internationally recognized ceramic artist and sculptor, with expertise in hand building, wheel throwing, and figurative work.

I have had the privilege of teaching students of all ages across numerous studios in various states, serving as a studio technician, and instructing at both the college and grade school levels. My work has been displayed in galleries around the world.

I am thrilled to announce the opening of BabyFace Studio, named after my signature creation, BabyFace Mugs. My passion for teaching drives me, and I look forward to supporting you on your artistic journey—whether you are exploring a new hobby or seeking a collaborative space among fellow artists.
