About our Memberships/ Important Info!
We welcome membership applications from experienced potters that are able to work independently in a community studio space. We aim to create a safe and inviting space for members, students, and staff.
Please read the following information carefully and fill out the form below so we can connect!
We are pleased to offer ceramic artists the opportunity to work independently at our studio, utilizing the space to their advantage.
We provide different membership tier options designed to align with your vision, goals, budget, and needs. To be eligible for a membership, you must meet one of the following criteria:
Successfully complete at least one 8-week Wheel Throwing/Hand Building Course at BabyFace Pottery Studio, or
Possess prior experience in a pottery studio, including proficiency in hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing, trimming, and finishing pieces from start to finish. If you meet this criterion, we would be happy to discuss your experience with you. If you begin a membership, we also ask that you schedule a time to meet with us so we can discuss BabyFace Studio’s guidelines as well as walk you through our glazing protocols. This needs to be done BEFORE you begin working in the studio.
We love questions and encourage you to ask for help if you need it, but please note that memberships are meant to be for potter’s working independently. This is not meant to be for heavy instruction for skills such as wheelthrowing, glazing, or handbuilding.
You may sign up for a membership at any time; it does not have to be at the beginning of the month. Upon signing up, you will be automatically charged on that day each month for your membership fee. You may cancel your membership at any time. Please note that once memberships are purchased, we are unable to provide refunds.
BabyFace Member Space- Depending on the Tier you choose will determine the amount of space you get. Your work must be contained to only that space. Members working space will be upstairs on the 2nd floor in the main gallery. Members are able to access the studio space during any and all Open Studio Hours. Please check the schedule for those hours as they can change from time to time. Members are not allowed to bring clay or glaze from outside the studio unless the studio approves of it ahead of time. Failure to do so can result in termination of membership and no refund, especially if it damages our kilns. If your work damages any of the kilns from improper glazing or clay that was not approved/wrong temperature used, you will be responsible for kiln repair costs.
*** Please note we are not a production pottery studio. If you are a production potter please fill out a form below to inquire about needing space or kiln access as a production potter.
