Can we bring in our own clay and glaze?

  • For our 8 week classes, one time classes, date night classes, and workshops, we will supply all the glaze and clay you will need!

We do not allow outside clay or glaze to be brought in. Clay must be purchased through the studio. Members + our Advanced 8-week wheel-throwing/hand-building class may be able to bring in their own food safe underglaze and glazes as long as we approve of them first.

Can we come in during an open studio to finish our work?

  • If you are enrolled in an 8 week long course you will have (2) open studio sessions allowed. This is a 3 hour time slot you have to sign up for ahead of time to reserve a spot. In total- you will have 6 additional hours to use if you choose to. This time is great for finishing up projects, glazing, etc. This time will be offered on the weekends in the evening. During open studio hours, the first 1.5 hours will be designated for gallery space use only, allowing time for finishing work. For the remaining 1.5 hours, the entire studio, including wheels, the glazing area, and equipment, will be available. Please note that these hours do not roll over.

  • Please note that if you are enrolled in a Try-It class, Date Night, or workshop, additional studio hours beyond the scheduled class time are not provided for completing projects. The allotted timeframe for these classes and workshops is designed to be sufficient for you to finish your work within the session.

Can we bring in food and drinks?

  • Yes! You are welcome to bring in food and drinks as long as you cleanup afterwards. I personally love to have a cup of coffee with me when I work. Feel free to swing down the street to grab some food or a drink before starting a class or workshop.

Are animals allowed in the studio?

  • While we love our fur babies we do ask that you please do not bring your pets into the studio. Since it is a pottery studio things can get easily knocked over and break!

Can we schedule a workshop for our co-workers or a private throwing or handbuilding class for a friends night out?

  • Ofcourse! Please shoot us an email and we would love to work with you.

How soon after my class can I come pick up my work?

  • If you are signed up for a try-it class or a date night class, please allow 4 weeks for your piece to be finished. We will reach out through email to let you know what time you can come by to get your work.

  • If you completed a workshop, please allow 4 weeks for your work to completely dry and to be glaze fired. Your work will go through the kiln 2x. We will reach out when you can swing by to grab your work!

  • In an 8-week class, your work is fired based on the timing of its completion. As the class progresses, pieces will be fired in stages. During the final 2-3 sessions, you will focus on learning to glaze your work. You may receive some of your fired pieces throughout the course, but please be aware that some items might not be fired until the end of the class. Therefore, you may need to return after the course concludes to collect any remaining pieces.

What happens if my work breaks?

  • Unfortunately it does happen! Please note that clay and glazes are unpredictable. Sometimes all the right steps can be taken and something can still crack or break. Just part of the process. It can happen during the building process, bisque, or even glaze firing. We do not offer any refunds or fee exemptions will be issued.
